Kids Sunday Sermons

We believe that when the Gospel is preached in the Church, it also has to reach the entire audience including the children.

One way by which the Gospel and the entire Biblical narrative is made accessible to the children in the Church, is by welcoming the children into the active community of worship and explaining them the message of the Gospel in an age-appropriate way.

On various Sundays throughout the liturgical year we are gathering our children at the front of the church to listen to a story from the Gospel narrative: a miracle, a healing performed by Jesus or even a teaching or a parable said by our Lord to His Apostles or the multitudes following Him. Sometimes they even listen to a story from the Old Testament or even from the lives of the Saints.

 

The word of God is like a seed planted in our hearts and if it's cherished it will grow bringing fruit to perfection. As Christ said in the Gospel: But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred. (Mark 4, 20).

As priests, parents, tutors, and teachers, we have the responsibility to nurture and cherish the word of God in the hears of our children.
